Definitions of Crimes

Burglary: entry into a building, place of residence, or vehicle illegally with intent to commit a crime, especially theft

Theft: the action or crime of stealing.

Arson: the criminal act of deliberately setting fire to property

Aggravated assault: the crime of physically attacking another person which results in serious bodily harm and/or is made with a deadly or dangerous weapon such as a gun, knife, sword, ax, or blunt instrument

Fraud: wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain

Sexual assault: sexual contact that usually involves force upon a person without consent or is inflicted upon a person who is incapable of giving consent (as because of physical or mental incapacity) or who places the attacker in a position of trust or authority
